Privacy
Work hours belong to the company. The rest stays private.
TrapSpotter records only between Start workday and Stop workday. That is fixed in the database, not a setting someone can switch.
Only during the workday
Outside it, nothing is recorded. If someone forgets to tap Stop, the workday ends by itself after the number of hours you choose.
Private means private
A private trip loses its addresses and route for good. What is left is the time and the kilometres.
Live position off by default
Turn it on and you see only who is on duty, once a minute. Your drivers see in their app whether it is on.

Your company is the data controller, TrapSpotter the processor. The data processing agreement is part of the business terms.

About the price, your drivers' privacy and how to get started.
Who pays, the company or the driver?
The company. You pay €3.95 per driver per month, excluding VAT, on one invoice for your whole fleet. Your drivers pay nothing: TrapSpotter Premium is included.
What if a driver leaves mid-month?
You pay only for the days they were part of your company. You pay monthly in advance; the part of the month already paid comes back as a credit on your next invoice. When someone joins, you pay only for the days left. They keep their TrapSpotter account.
Can a driver keep a trip private?
Yes, any trip. In the app they tap Private: the addresses and route are deleted for good, and the company sees only the time and the kilometres. Outside the workday nothing is recorded anyway.
Can we see where our drivers are, live?
Only if you turn it on: the live map is off by default. When it is on, it shows only drivers who are on duty, with a position once a minute, and never during a private trip or outside the workday. Your drivers see in their app whether it is on.
How do invoices and VAT work?
You get an invoice in your company's name every month, in advance, and you find them all in the console. Our prices exclude VAT. A Belgian company pays 21% VAT. A company in another EU country with a valid VAT number gets an invoice without VAT, under the reverse charge.
How can we pay?
By card or by SEPA Direct Debit. You add the payment method in the console, and the first time you get 14 days free. You can cancel whenever you like: the subscription then runs to the end of the month already paid.
Does a driver need a new account?
No. Your drivers use the TrapSpotter account they already have, however they sign in: email, phone, Google or Apple. They accept your invitation and then find the Work button in their app. Anyone without an account creates one for free.
Do we have to inform our employees?
Yes, before you start, and that is the company's job as the data controller. Your drivers must know what is recorded, why, who sees it and how long it is kept; in Belgium the law asks for a geolocation policy for this. We give you the texts, and every driver sees in their app what TrapSpotter records. Whether your works council or union delegation has to be involved depends on your company; your payroll provider can tell you.
