1. What a code is

You received a code from an organisation that works with TrapSpotter (the partner), for example your employer, your garage or your association. The code gives you TrapSpotter Premium for the period stated with the code (6 or 12 months). You pay nothing for it. TrapSpotter BV provides the Premium.

2. What you need

2.1 A TrapSpotter account. Creating an account is free.

2.2 You redeem the code at trapspotter.com/code, signed in with the same account as in the app. You cannot enter a code in the app itself.

2.3 Redeem the code before the deadline stated with the code. After that, it expires.

3. Your Premium

3.1 Your Premium starts as soon as you redeem the code. If you already had Premium through another partner code, the new period runs on from the end of that one.

3.2 The Premium stops by itself at the end of the period. It does not renew automatically and you do not give any payment details. After that, you can choose whether to pay for it yourself.

3.3 Premium includes the features described as Premium in the app. In each country, the app shows what the law there allows.

4. Are you already paying for Premium?

A code does not stop a paid subscription. If you already have Premium through the App Store, Google Play or our website, cancel that subscription yourself, otherwise you will pay twice:

  • App Store: on your iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions;
  • Google Play: in the Play Store, your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions;
  • our website: in the app, Settings → Manage Subscription.

A cancelled subscription runs until the end of the paid period. We do not refund what you have already paid on the grounds that you redeem a code; for the App Store and Google Play, that store's refund policy applies.

5. Rules

5.1 Each code can be used once and cannot be exchanged for money. Once redeemed, the Premium is personal and non-transferable.

5.2 Codes are meant to be given away free of charge. Anyone who sells codes, obtains them unlawfully or tries to guess them or enter them automatically may be refused; TrapSpotter may then invalidate the code and end the Premium obtained with it.

5.3 The terms and conditions apply to the use of TrapSpotter, including the rules on safe driving: you remain responsible for your driving and for following the traffic rules.

6. Privacy

6.1 The partner never finds out who redeemed a code. It sees only counts: how many codes have been issued and redeemed, and how many are active.

6.2 We store with your account which partner your Premium comes from and until when, in order to show this in the app and to compile the counts. This is necessary to give you the Premium (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you delete your account, only an anonymous count remains. More information is in the privacy policy.
