Your data, your choice
At TrapSpotter, you remain in control of your data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time.
How do you delete your account?
Option 1: in the app (recommended)
- Open the TrapSpotter app
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Delete account
- Confirm deletion
Option 2: by email
Email contact@trapspotter.com with the subject ‘Delete account’. Include the phone number or email address used to register. We process your request within 3 business days.
What is deleted?
The following data is permanently deleted:
- Profile data, including name, email, phone number, and profile picture
- Home location
- Saved routes
- AI assistant chat history
- Session and sign-in data
- Push notification tokens
- Payment link (Stripe customer ID)
Subscriptions
Active subscriptions are cancelled automatically.
What remains in anonymised form?
To protect the integrity of the community, some contributions may remain after being fully disconnected from your identity:
- Reports you submitted
- Votes on reports
Anonymity
After deletion, this data can no longer be linked back to you.
Important information
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- An active subscription is cancelled automatically
- You may create a new account later, but old data cannot be restored
